The prospect of closing our doors again for a month (at least) feels daunting but we’re facing it all with a positivity. We’ve got our takeaway offer all set up, we’ve got a full menu including:

Home cooked meals (Cottage pie, fish pie, lasagne, spicy squash tagine etc.), salad, burgers, fish and chips and we’ll continue with our pizza offering at The Chequers as we’ve ready made a name for ourselves since last lockdown with our pizzas. But for The Walnut Tree in Yalding we’re going to offer Shawarma’s, a twist on the traditional pizza, which is a large flat bread filled with yummy ingredients like pulled pork or slow cook brisket and then rolled to serve. A real treat for the residents of Yalding and beyond.

We’re also offering fresh meat and fish boxes to our residents to buy including some essentials as necessary if the panic buying in supermarkets continues we don’t want local vulnerable residents feeling they can’t get these items so we’ll prepare essential packs as they need and deliver to their door.

We’re proud to serve our local community, even if we can’t do it face to face but they can still enjoy the same standard of food and drink just in the safety of their own homes.
