A New Year Update from Hoopers Farm

Hoopers Farm lamb has been incredibly popular this year...

So popular that we ran out before Christmas and have had to wait for some more to be ready, which will be available from the 5th February.

All our lambs are either pure or half Dorset Down, which is a rare breed, known for its fantastic eating quality. Ours are raised on grass alone (well perhaps the occasional apple or chestnut!) on our beautiful farm near Edenbridge. We follow regenerative farming practices and our livestock's welfare is our priority.

Our lambing begins in April, which is the time at which lamb born the year before becomes known as hogget. The word of how delicious hogget is has begun to escape and we are selling more every year. The meat has a little more structure, though is still tender, with loads of flavour.

In the past year we have found our whole or half lamb packs to be very popular. They are a cost-effective way of buying fantastic lamb and of having a ready supply in the freezer. We do also sell individual cuts. We offer free local delivery, or you can collect from the farm or come and see us at Penshurst Farmers' Market, which is on the first Saturday of every month.
