There has been confusion and outrage when the Government announced that we would have to close and would not be allowed to offer takeaway alcohol. "Hospitality venues like restaurants, bars and pubs must close, but can still provide takeaway and delivery services. However, takeaway of alcohol will not be allowed." This was especially alarming when the large supermarkets are permitted to sell alcohol. However, we have just this minute been informed that the Government have now clarified their stance on takeaway beer.

Our taproom, 'the cathedral' has to be closed but the shop can remain open (4-7pm weekdays and 10am-6pm Saturdays) or we will come to you. You can come to the shop to buy bottles and minipins, or if you prefer fresh beer from the cask, you will need to pre order by phone 01227 361 555 or online https://www.openfoodnetwork.org.uk/goody-ales/shop . Our delivery service is still operating with free local delivery. There is also a link on our website on the 'Shop' page. You can 'click and collect' - order on line or by phone and we will prepare you order for you and you can collect from the brewery during our opening hours.

We also have a range of other local products such as fruit juices: apple, pear, cherry juice, cider, Chili sauces, English wine, biltong and other bar snacks. We have a range of Goody Ales t-shirts, fleeces, hats, glasses and even masks... all good Christmas present ideas! Please see attached price lists.

All the best to you all, thank you for supporting us and other small, local businesses and keep safe!
