It’s always rewarding to see Essex-based businesses doing well – and we’re delighted to congratulate Fairfields Farm Crisps on their outstanding achievement of THREE Great Taste Awards this year.

The Guild of Fine Food’s awards – one of the best-known and trusted awards in the sector, supporting independent food and drink businesses – listed Fairfields Farm’s Sea Salt & Black Pepper, Sweet Chilli and Adnams Ghost Ship flavours within the line-up of 2020 winners in the Savoury Snacks food category.

Building upon the strong heritage of three generations of the family farming in East Anglia, Fairfields Farm, based north of Colchester, cultivate and harvest their own potatoes, maize and rye, including their own special variety of crisping potatoes. As well as supplying their produce to retailers across Essex and the wider UK, it is these very potatoes that are used to create their range of hand-cooked crisps. The well-beloved flavour line-up includes classic Cheese & Onion, Sea Salt & Aspall Cyder Vinegar and more in addition to the three award-winners.

It’s great to see a local business succeeding on this level – another fine example of the incredible food and drink products that Essex has to offer. Congratulations again, Fairfields Farm!
